GNOME Web Sites
The GNOME Web: It starts at http://www.gnome.org/ (which is often called "WGO" on these pages) and it ends in a myriad of /GnomeSubsites and /RegionalSites. We are currently working on making WGO better. There are many things to do around them, if you are interested have a look at "How to get involved" and join in!

What's going on?
We are entering a new development stage based on the GNOME release cycles.
See GnomeWeb/CurrentStatus to follow the works still done on the current platform. 30 Oct 2006: Plone was selected as the CMS of choice
Next: beta test: watch: GnomeWeb/CmsSetup
GnomeWeb/RevampShowstoppers - problems to be solved before the release of the website.
How to get involved?
Read and Subscribe at least to the gnome-web-list. If you are also interested in the GnomeMarketing aspect you should also read and subscribe the marketing-list. If you have question you can ask a question on the #webhackers IRC channel (but dont expect a quick answer). The whole process also should be documented in these wiki pages.
Watch the product Website at Bugzilla for submitted bugs, ideas and user feedback.
Subscribe to changes on these pages. Add "GnomeWeb*" to the subscription box in your user preferences. You will then get an email for every change on each page. Or you can just "Subscribe" to one of these pages by clicking on the link by that name on a page.
Go through the pages under GnomeWeb, fix errors or try to summarize aspects that were talked about in ThreadMode and are hard to read. Try not to loose the context or valuable information if you do so. Sometimes reformatting is simple but also does the trick!
You can also try to be a contact for a /RegionalSites and help GNOME to develop a common design and to translate some marketing logo branding arguments to your people. You can also update the information about the status of your site.
You can see the details of Plone CMS implementation here: /PloneImplementation
