18:02:44 <stoney> boy... two weeks go by....
18:02:54 <stoney> How is everyone?
18:03:03 <amber> good u
18:03:12 <stoney> too busy
18:03:14 <stoney> but good :)
18:03:27 <stoney> #topic Updates
18:03:36 <LoganH> Very busy
18:03:36 <stoney> I've got nothing to report
18:03:48 <stoney> I thought summer was for vacation
18:03:56 <stoney> I guess I've got that backwards :)
18:04:10 <amber> summer is for an extra term of classes obviously
18:04:13 <amber> :)
18:04:18 <stoney> there you go
18:04:26 <stoney> Who want's to start?
18:04:38 <amber> i guess i can
18:04:53 <stoney> (I'll might ask some questions... as I've been less aware of what's been going on lately)
18:04:59 <stoney> great... go for it
18:04:59 <amber> ive finished up the docs for the most part and have been slowly converting them/learning mallard
18:05:14 <stoney> what's mallard?
18:05:18 <amber> and i sent stoney and logan an email about next steps? idk if you guys got it
18:05:33 <amber> its a language for writing docs?
18:05:35 <stoney> i just got it
18:05:46 <stoney> cool... so the docs are in the repository?
18:05:57 <amber> im still writing them into mallard
18:06:03 <amber> i had to learn it first
18:06:04 <LoganH> I got it.. Busy when I got it and forgot about it
18:06:12 <stoney> cool
18:06:19 <amber> its really simple, which is actually more difficult
18:06:29 <stoney> lol
18:06:38 <stoney> isn't that always the case
18:06:41 <amber> mostly because i wanted a certain format
18:06:42 <amber> yea
18:07:06 <stoney> #link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mallard_(documentation)
18:07:11 <stoney> is that it?
18:07:38 <stoney> (i meant, is that the right link to mallard)
18:07:55 <amber> yes, but here's the project page #link http://projectmallard.org
18:08:09 <stoney> #link http://projectmallard.org
18:08:12 <stoney> great thanks
18:08:19 <stoney> and...
18:08:29 <stoney> I'll get back to your email either today or tomorrow
18:08:55 <stoney> I'm processing my email for the last 1.5 weeks right now
18:09:18 <stoney> plus I need to get up to speed with what you all have been doing :)
18:09:38 <stoney> amber: anything else?
18:09:42 <amber> nope
18:09:57 <stoney> OK, who's next?
18:10:02 <LoganH> I can go
18:10:56 <LoganH> I haven't made really any progress since last week. Still trying to figure out where the points are coming from for the haar points. The calculations (or something) are placing the reference points for the forehead and eyes way outside the scope of the picture
18:11:44 <LoganH> So I am trying to figure out how to draw the rectangle directly on the image so that I can see exactly what its looking at, and see if I can figure out how to get the haar points to actually focus where they are suppose to be
18:12:02 <stoney> ok... cool
18:12:12 <stoney> is your current code in the repo?
18:12:30 <LoganH> The most up to date (working) code is in there
18:12:32 <stoney> so if I or someone else wanted to take a look, we could?
18:12:51 <LoganH> I haven't uploaded my attempts at screwing around with it
18:13:11 <stoney> does that mean someone would notice that the calculations are off screen?
18:13:33 <LoganH> I believe so. If not, then a debug statement will show it
18:13:57 <LoganH> I can't remember if I pushed the debug statement, or if I pushed before that
18:14:40 <stoney> suggestion...
18:14:48 <LoganH> yes?
18:15:01 <stoney> create a remote branch to work on the problem...
18:15:13 <stoney> create an issue to go with it to allow discussion
18:15:33 <stoney> that way anyone can work on it and help you
18:15:38 <LoganH> OKay. I can do that
18:16:02 <stoney> cool
18:16:12 <stoney> Put the branch name in the issue
18:16:16 <stoney> please :)
18:16:47 <LoganH> Will do
18:16:56 <stoney> Who's next? Dark_Rose ?
18:17:52 <stoney> hm... probably afk
18:18:12 <stoney> heidi: ?
18:18:30 <stoney> I know she said she might be a bit late
18:18:49 <stoney> OK... well... :)
18:18:58 <LoganH> Looks like shes not back yet
18:19:01 <stoney> let's go on to next steps
18:19:09 <stoney> #topic Next
18:19:33 <stoney> If I get time this week, I'll try Logan's branch
18:19:54 <stoney> Same should go for anyone else who wants to try
18:20:07 <amber> ill be working on converting to mallard and then upload the docs to master
18:20:14 <stoney> Excellent
18:20:19 <amber> whats the OS you guys are using for testing
18:20:25 <amber> fed 18?
18:20:29 <stoney> Fed 18 i think
18:20:38 <stoney> LoganH: ?
18:20:48 <amber> ok. i might install that soon so I can start looking at the code
18:20:51 <LoganH> 18
18:20:58 <stoney> install what?
18:21:05 <stoney> mallard?
18:21:09 <amber> im still running ubuntu 10
18:21:14 <amber> for docs
18:21:27 <stoney> what needs to be installed?
18:21:32 <amber> fedora
18:21:56 <stoney> I'm confused... mallard only works on fedora?
18:22:06 <LoganH> Stoney, I think she means Mousetrap under Fedora so she can look at the mousetrap code
18:22:18 <amber> :) yes
18:22:21 <stoney> oh!... ok!!
18:22:24 <stoney> sorry
18:23:03 <amber> alls well
18:23:04 * stoney reading log
18:23:17 <stoney> that makes a lot more sense now
18:23:18 <stoney> ok
18:23:45 * heidi notes that I'm back
18:23:51 <stoney> great... LoganH I assume you'll keep working on the problem you mentioned
18:23:56 <LoganH> Yes I will
18:25:00 <stoney> For now, I'll mostly monitor everyone's progress. I should also be available somewhat for help.... so just email me... or better yet, put in an issue on github
18:25:24 <LoganH> Sounds good stoney
18:25:36 <stoney> heidi: did you have anything to add?
18:25:38 * joanie remains available for pinging as needed, but it seems everyone continues to be managing on their own well
18:25:49 <joanie> I do have a question though
18:25:56 <stoney> please :)
18:26:01 <heidi> stoney: Nope Nothing new from me :-)
18:26:14 <joanie> Do we anticipate having something "good enough" to commit to an upstream (non-master) gnome branch of mousetrap?
18:26:19 <joanie> i.e. by summer's end, say
18:26:49 <amber> that might be a do-able goal
18:26:56 <joanie> cool
18:26:58 <joanie> I'd like that
18:27:06 <joanie> can't be much worse than what is currently in master ;)
18:27:15 <joanie> and it would demonstrate progress, etc.
18:27:30 <joanie> i.e. mousetrap ain't dead; it's actively being worked on
18:27:33 <stoney> ok... then that's the goal :)
18:27:44 <joanie> and heidi could practice her new git gnome superpowers ;)
18:27:50 <heidi> right!!
18:27:50 <stoney> Aug 30?
18:27:55 <joanie> I'd love that
18:27:58 <joanie> if possible
18:28:02 <heidi> That would be great.
18:28:10 <amber> my summer isnt over til sep 20
18:28:13 <joanie> and from what I've seen we're getting there
18:28:16 <amber> :)
18:28:30 <joanie> amber: but your doc work would make a great addition
18:28:37 <joanie> and something we can point to upstream
18:28:49 <stoney> cool!
18:28:55 <LoganH> Sounds like a plan
18:29:06 <amber> good stuff
18:29:10 <joanie> and honestly, you guys should be quite proud of all your progress
18:29:46 <stoney> I think you embaresed them
18:29:54 <LoganH> Thank you :)
18:29:55 <stoney> (and I myself for spelling)
18:30:06 <joanie> stoney: english is hard, let's go shopping! :P
18:30:15 <stoney> lol
18:30:22 <joanie> And I give credit where credit is due
18:30:32 * amber blushes
18:30:34 <heidi> Yes, I continue to think that we're making good progress.
18:30:36 <heidi> :-)
18:30:48 <stoney> Anything else we should talk about... or do I have a motion to adjourn?
18:31:10 <LoganH> I am good
18:31:18 <amber> same
18:31:24 <stoney> OK, until next week then!
18:31:26 <heidi> yup

18:31:33 <joanie> not stop
18:31:35 <LoganH> Have a goood week everyone
18:31:37 <stoney> #end
