What is it?
NetworkManager is a set of co-operative tools that make networking simple and straightforward. Whether WiFi, wired, 3G, or Bluetooth, NetworkManager allows you to quickly move from one network to another: once a network has been configured and joined once, it can be detected and re-joined automatically the next time its available.

Migrating to 0.9
A migration guide for updating your programs to work with NM 0.9 is now available. The 0.9 major release will greatly simplify the NM architecture, D-Bus API, and user programs like applets, config editors, and command-line clients. See more details at NetworkManager/ApiSimplify.
