Creating Marketing Materials
GNOME really needs high quality marketing materials. If you have art and design skills, this is a great way to contribute to GNOME and to GNOME marketing. High-quality versions of the following are all required:
- Posters
- Pamphlets - both small and simple and larger and more elaborate
- Presentations for various audiences
- Badges for blogs and websites
If you want to help contribute materials but are unsure where to begin, the GNOME marketing homepage contains details of how to get in touch with members of the marketing team.
Our aim should be to have a small set of high-quality materials which are widely utilised. If a high-quality design already exists for the kind of marketing materials that you require, it is better to use that create your own version. Source files of marketing materials should be available to enable localization to take place.
Marketing materials resources
The BrandGuidelines page contains guidance on creating marketing materials, as well as resources such as image files for the GNOME logo.
This SVG file contains a selection of resources to enable you to quickly get started creating GNOME marketing images, including a set of common images and a color palette: misc-fog.svg (To open and edit SVG files, we recommend Inkscape.)
